My work is a reflection of humanity.

Using my observations and experiences, I portray in my prints, drawings, paintings and sculpture, facets of human emotions: loneliness, anger, suffering, passion and desire for salvation. The human figure is the central subject of all my compositions. However, I do incorporate physical backgrounds: landscape, townscape and interiors, which help to create appropriate moods in my work. I admit to being greatly influenced by Romantic artists of the 19th century. I try to capture a moment, a brief glimpse into an aspect of the human condition. I attempt to be empathetic, not clinical, in my interpretations.
