Most of my pictures come from experiences of places, maybe focussing in on the beauty of small bits of inner city detritus, airy scenes of central NSW or being enveloped by a forest. It is usually the natural world which inspires.

I work in series, so each theme has its own media and technique. Sometimes I take on a series of portraits, exploring the place in life where a person may find himself or herself.
I like to vary my practice by using different media and find certain themes are best described by a particular media. Media – Oil paint, charcoal, pastel, gouache.
