I call the approach to my work aerial abstract landscape - like floating above the landscape and interpreting the view from above. Really my paintings are an expression of my attachment to the land and environment of our country – of Australia, whether urban, rural country or outback. It depends what emerges from the use and application of paints on the canvas as to what the painting represents.
I try to not represent objects or things in my work. I like to leave finding meaning up to the observer. Through this I hope to convey my spiritual and emotional attachment to our landscape.
